ten years of FAIR PLAY
The DISCOVER FOOTBALL Festival 2019 “FAIR PLAY” took place at the Willy Kressmann Stadium in Berlin from July 29 to August 4, 2019. Over 100 footballers from 22 countries, among others Iran, Nepal, Cameroon, Bolivia and Serbia were invited to Berlin, who are actively involved in women’s football and / or women’s rights.
Consisting of a friendly tournament, competence-building trainings and workshops on the subject of „Fair Play,“ the main focus of the event was on the football as a tool for women’s empowerment. The tournament was played in newly mixed teams to promote active exchanges across national, cultural, religious and language barriers.
In addition to the festival, the 10th anniversary of DISCOVER FOOTBALL was celebrated with the presence of friends and supporters of DISCOVER FOOTBALL, who have made all this happen.
